Mark Twain Riverfront Park
Professional design services in the preparation of schematic and final construction plans for two major projects to enhance public waterfront access along the Chemung River. The City of Elmira is the recipient of a New York State Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Grant. The work included obtaining public input, assessment of the park design options and environmental impacts, engineering needed to overcome floodwall and traffic issues, coordination of participating agency reviews, and providing a summary report. Riverfront Park, located along Water Street between Main and Lake Streets, to provide for river access. Final design and construction drawings for bidding of canoe portage and trail for the south side of the river and levee access at the Chase-Hibbard Dam.
